Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruits, trains, develops, and evaluates employees.
- Manages personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Assists in development of material / inventory forecasts and budgets. Meets budgeted cost targets, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established Supply Chain processes and methods.
- Facilitates floor operations and removes barriers for employees to meet measurable objectives.
- Coordinates material flow to meet production schedules.
- Establishes materials stocking and location strategies.
- Complies with and implements company policy.
- Develops policy / process based on existing Allison best practices tailored to location specific requirements.

- Knowledge of lean inventory, manufacturing, and materials management practices

Preferred:
- Knowledge of pull systems / Kanban
- Knowledge / experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems and processes
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Preferred:
- APICS CPIM certification
Experience:
Required:
- 3+ years' in supervisory role
- 5+ years' experience in supply chain role
- Experience in assembly and manufacturing operations.
Preferred:
- Experience with Six Sigma concepts
