OVERVIEW
At MasterCard, our Business & Market Insights division empowers customers across diverse sectors such as financial institutions, retail, telecommunications, and travel. We're seeking a candidate to work cross-functionally with Data & Engineering, Business Development, Client Delivery & Governance teams to deliver truly differentiated products and capabilities within the Portfolio Intelligence program. The role is positioned to drive new ideas forward by combining creative thought leadership with innovation and industry best practices.

ROLE
Own the development and technical roadmap for a set of our emerging products and capabilities:
• Translate business priorities into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams and third-party partners• Work closely with UX designers, data engineering, developers, and internal and external technology teams to define business requirements, technical capabilities, and customer experiences• Partner with engineering teams, technical third parties, designers, and operational teams to prioritise development efforts in line with product strategy and roadmap• Make pragmatic and creative technical decisions to add functionality, accelerate time to market, and improve feasibility• Oversee the timely, high-quality execution of technical requirements, including validating functionality prior to production release• Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to design intuitive, highly relevant features that maximise client value• Proactively identify and manage issues, risks, and dependencies throughout the product development lifecycle• Manage end to end relationships with technical third-party suppliers, including scoping new developments and monitoring SLAs
Jointly own the product roadmap for these emerging products and capabilities, working closely with product co owners to:• Partner with cross functional teams to define a customer centric product vision, ensuring strong alignment between business priorities, development objectives, and market trends• Design and evolve product concepts by conducting user research, including interviews with customers and account managers, to deepen understanding of customer pain points, motivations, and opportunities, and iteratively refine the roadmap• Ensure alignment with the broader product roadmap within the Portfolio Intelligence programme, including up sell and cross sell opportunities• Continuously deepen understanding of customer needs, motivations, and pain points to inform product decisions• Design and execute communication strategies to drive activation and sustained product usage• Drive commercialisation in partnership with regional product leads
ALL ABOUT YOU• Card payments/Banking expertise and experience • Customer centric: strong focus on delivering customer value and experienced in building strong customer relationships• Ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders• Natural problem solver: analytical, curious with a "can-do" attitude; solutions-oriented skillset and fact-driven approach to product development• Collaborative team player: proven track record in collaborating with multiple cross-functional (both internal and external) teams across multiple locations; exceptional in facilitating challenging conversations and managing ambiguity• Agile product management in data products, writing and gathering product requirements, gap analysis, market and product plans, marketing research, pricing, business case development • Organizational skills and project management: ability to deal with multiple and competing priorities, structure and manage work streams, set clear expectations and deadlines, manage financials• Passion for technology and leveraging it to solve complex challenges• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to engage and influence at all levels, make the complex simple and interface with senior leadership• Experience in managing analytical solutions designed for payments or related financial services sectors preferred• Experience designing, executing and distilling user research to drive value for the customer, an outstanding user experience and stickiness a plus• Technical background (e.g. Computer Science or related field) a plus
