SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Global FP&A Manager is a strategic finance leader and business partner responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, business performance analysis, and manufacturing cost accounting across the Americas while supporting global FP&A processes and reporting. This role partners closely with executive leadership, commercial teams, operations, supply chain, and regional finance leaders to deliver actionable insights, improve profitability, optimize working capital, and support data-driven decision-making.
In addition to leading FP&A activities for the Americas region, the Global FP&A Manager plays a key role in coordinating and consolidating global financial planning and reporting activities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
REPORTING TO: Global Director Finance & IT
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Americas Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the preparation, analysis, and reporting of key financial and operational metrics, including Orders, Sales, Gross Margin, Manufacturing Profit, EBITDA, and Working Capital.
- Own the monthly forecasting process, identifying business risks, opportunities, and key financial drivers.
- Prepare and facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews with executive leadership, including:
- Forecast-to-actual analysis
- Profitability bridge analysis
- Product and customer mix analysis
- Pricing performance evaluation
- Material inflation and cost impact analysis
- Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including:
- Revenue planning
- Sourcing and procurement assumptions
- Operations planning
- Headcount planning
- Operating expense budgeting
- Support long-range strategic planning and annual profitability assessments, including 80/20 analysis initiatives.
- Perform financial evaluations and return-on-investment (ROI) analysis for capital expenditures, productivity projects, and new product investments.
- Develop, enhance, and automate financial reporting and dashboards utilizing Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Deliver actionable financial and operational insights to support executive decision-making.
Global FP&A Support:
- Coordinate and consolidate key FP&A activities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, including:
- Monthly forecasts
- Actual financial results
- Annual Operating Plans
- Strategic planning submissions
- Report daily business performance against forecast, with emphasis on Orders, Sales, and Gross Margin.
- Partner with regional finance leaders to standardize reporting, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance analytical capabilities.
- Support global and regional leadership teams with ad hoc financial analyses, business cases, and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of global FP&A processes, reporting tools, and performance management practices.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to global Finance partners, developing organizational capabilities and promoting a culture of continuous improvement through simplification, automation, and the elimination of low-value activities.
Manufacturing Cost Accounting & Inventory Management:
- Lead inventory accounting and cost accounting activities for the Denver manufacturing facility.
- Maintain and enhance standard costing methodologies to ensure accurate product costing and financial reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing and inventory variances, identify root causes, and partner with operations leadership to implement corrective actions.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including:
- Cycle count programs
- Inventory reconciliation activities
- Annual physical inventory processes
- Monitor inventory valuation, manufacturing performance, and cost trends to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of manufacturing and inventory-related financial data.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Manage, coach, and develop direct report staff, fostering professional growth and accountability.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Serve as a trusted business partner across finance and operational functions.
- Model and reinforce IDEX values of Team, Trust, and Excellence in all interactions and decision-making.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA, CPA/GAAP, or CMA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or operational finance within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and cost accounting processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and business partnering skills.
- Experience working within a global or multi-regional business environment preferred.
- Prior leadership or direct people management experience preferred.

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.

The compensation range for this position is $109,800.00 - $164,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
