Job Description Summary:
Reports to: Senior Director, Franchise Finance – CENTRAL
KEY WORKING PARAMETERS
A successful Manager, Franchise Finance for Central is one who can create and execute a strong finance strategy within certain markets to drive growth and profitability.
Focus, Scope, & Impact:
Partner with Franchise operational finance leaders to support Franchise and/or local customer activities at the Franchise Unit level, to drive alignment across multiple stakeholders, and to develop the key insights needed to inform strategic priorities, including:
- Manage franchise (bottlers) and customer relationships at the local level
- Support insights and brainstorm with customers/Bottlers on local business issues; Prepare & support internal stakeholders on on-going negotiations
- Rebate and deduction negotiations with external parties
- Prepare & support internal stakeholders on on-going negotiations
- Quantitative and qualitative local Bottler/Customer info
- Assess Financial implications and models on new ARTM and optimization of current value chain (use of third party, plant closure…)
Manage all Business Models and Margins within the Franchise, including:
- Execution of business model optimization (in Partnership with Business Models Manager) and system top line growth
- Assessment and segmentation by Franchise Unit (Fixed vs hybrid vs incidence)
- Incidence Pricing negotiations at Franchise level
- Develop, implement Margin optimization strategy across the entire value chain
- Bring margins discipline to operational business decisions
- Track margins objectives at Franchise level
- Leverage the network and execute locally Global margin strategy
Manage Mergers & Acquisitions and Revenue growth Management:
- Main contact point for M&A analysis and assessment at Franchise level
- Lead the financial implementation of new business models (Milk JV…)
- Main point of contact for legal/Tax/Treasury/M&A at Franchise Legal Entity level
- Support Financially all RGM initiatives deployment at Franchise level
- Determine pricing strategy and objectives
- Provide Financial input into new product / service development process
Analyze and Support Working Capital and Cash Management:
- Support Working Capital Optimization initiatives at Legal Entity / Franchise level
- Cash management optimization Analyses
- Support Optimization actions
- Interact with local stakeholders (i.e: franchise general Managers)
KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS
Knowledge & Experience
- >5 years of relevant Finance experience within financial planning or senior commercial finance roles
- Highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Work Focus
- Role model the “Leadership in the Network” definition
- Provide holistic understanding of business performance inside the Zone/Franchise,
- Execute end-to-end business planning inside the Franchise, working cross functionally inside the organization and coordinating with the Operational Finance Lead.
- Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to collaborating across Franchise/Zone/OU
- Deliver core financial strategies, practices and solutions, to grow business profitability in a sustainable way
Communication Focus
- This role is responsible for partnering internally as well as externally to effectively drive financial outcomes, as well as to build alignment on key initiatives and metrics, with a focus on communication to:
- Franchise GM and Market Execution Directors / Managers
- Bottlers local management leadership (finance, commercial etc)
- Marketing leadership at the Zone / Franchise
- OU finance leadership and teams (planning, resource allocation, customers and commercial fin ops)
- Other OU teams under network organization (Customer and Commercial Leadership, Stills, Marketing teams)
- Other Key Regional Stakeholders (customers, JVs, suppliers etc)
