Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
SUMMARY: The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for supporting Motion’s Executive, Finance, and Operational Leadership by contributing to world class financial analyses and providing thought-provoking, value-adding insight into financial performance. This role leads the identification of operational improvement opportunities and drives decision-making by collecting, managing, analyzing, and disseminating financial information and analyses.
JOB DUTIES
•Introduces best practices, supports alignment and improvements of FP&A processes.
•Establishes goals and related priorities to mentor, coach and evaluate direct reports.
•Establishes and serves as a business partner with operational leaders to drive additional profitability through analysis and reporting.
•Analyzes profit & loss statements and/or constructs pro forma financials, explaining variances and monitoring actions to ensure delivery of financial commitments.
•Designs and builds presentations, models, and reports to effectively communicate performance with business leaders.
•Develops new analysis and creative solutions to problems.
•Drives standardization and continuous process improvement for standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
•Assists manager with ad hoc projects as assigned.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or Data Sciences and seven (7) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
•Strong leadership, analytical, quantitative, and investigative skills, coupled with a desire to develop a deep understanding of business issues, a process-oriented mindset, and a passion for learning.
•Prior experience leading teams and ability to coach and mentor less experienced personnel.
•Experience with data modeling, analysis, and data visualization tools.
•Advanced experience in PowerPoint and Excel, to include pivot tables and complex formulas.
•Experience working in complex multi-operating system environments is preferred.
•Proven ability for problem solving.
•Ability to identify and communicate solutions to complex business opportunities in a time-critical environment.
•Highly organized and detail oriented.
