As part of our continued growth, Audax Private Debt is seeking a Manager to join our Private Debt FP&A team. You will gain exposure to multiple aspects of private debt investing by working closely with the investment team, finance team and investor relations professionals.

In this role, you will be responsible for various financial planning and analysis functions, to support the firm's performance and growth.

Responsibilities will include building, developing, improving, and maintaining fund level FP&A models. These models will be used to project performance and revenue to the management company, analyze fund-level leverage facilities and fund structures, analyze management fee and incentive fee structures, provide cash flow forecasts and other analysis to investors, manage liquidity, and analyze the impact of various business decisions and strategies.

The candidate will be required to present outcomes to management and explain the drivers in detail, with an emphasis on how certain inputs affect results. You will help transition certain FP&A models into Anaplan to develop a “live” P&L model for the firm.

  • Build, maintain and improve fund level models for performance projection and business analysis
  • Develop analytical models to project the effect of various leverage facilities on fund performance
  • Build carried interest waterfalls as defined by the LPAs
  • Construct hypothetical models to evaluate new products
  • Create Investran/Snowflake reports of accounting data to improve update processes for FP&A models
  • Monitor the gross and net performance of the funds
  • Transition Excel models into Anaplan models for the Debt Origination business
  • Assist in the preparation of strategic plans

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related major
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience; 5+ years of professional experience preferred
  • Technologically savvy with advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Confidence in work product and ability to communicate with management
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task across numerous projects with short deadlines
  • Experience working with different teams while maintaining appropriate project prioritization
  • Positives, but not requirements:
    • Understanding of alternative investments: private debt, senior /mezzanine/and or direct lending
    • Experience with various types of leverage: ABL, CLO, Subscription lines and hybrid facilities
    • Experience with FP&A software: Anaplan
    • Experience with fund accounting software: Investran/Snowflake

New York, NY. 4 days/week in office.  These in-office requirements may change based on the needs of the business.

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
