Position Responsibilities:

• Build models to rationalize existing businesses and review proposed financial arrangements, product offerings, distribution channels, selling partners, share class and pricing configuring and commission structures

• Provide analysis on the profitability of our various platform and model relationships with primary focus on our strategic partners . Continue to enhance profitability analysis

• Provide thought leadership and make recommendations around enhancements

• Analyze all new product offerings and other initiatives and develop ongoing profitability monitoring capabilities

• Work closely on the analysis of new marketing support agreements

• Prepare any pro forma analyses requested by the Board or senior management

• Partner with business heads on key strategic and tactical matters including standard and rationalized fee structures, breakpoints, expense cap analysis, omnibus transparency and any outsourcing decisions

• Perform financial and business reviews of potential divestiture targets and proposed fund adoptions, acquisition or merger candidates

• Identify and assist with the implementation of enhancements to the financial reporting process.

• Identify the need for new reports (i.e. profitability), oversee the design build and implement the new reports.

• Primary contact for Finance Associates when issues arise over financial systems. Work to resolve any issues in a timely manner.

• Ensure interfaces between financial systems are working correctly.

• Serve as a lead facilitator for user acceptance testing during system integrations/implementations.

• Lead process improvement projects driven by the needs of the business.

• Assist in documenting business processes and workflows.

• Troubleshoot production issues through discussions with end users and technical leads.

• Validates solutions design to ensure they meet the business needs, goals and/or objectives.

• Presents recommendations for application enhancements and/or business process improvements.

• Creates and maintains up to date systems documentation and end user training material.

• Anticipates impacts of system changes and communicates to impacted functional teams.

Shared Responsibilities:

• SQL – work with software developers to continue profitability project, design for future enhancements and system feeds, build automation and validations.

• Datahub – assist with validating data, train end users.

•Other – assist where needed on other technical systems Job

Required Qualifications:

• Required level of education -Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting or Finance, and a M Master’s in Finance or a Master’s in Business Administration

• CPA and/or advanced degree highly preferred

• 6 to 8 years of related experience including solid understanding of financial reporting, project management skills and a proven ability to collaborate across functions within an organization

• Required years of experience – 7-12 years of financial analysis experience working at a senior level

• Specific experience required –used to working with senior management, Boards and legal departments

• Technical Skills - Proficiency in analysis and modeling

• Communication skills - Strong verbal and written skills, ability to present to large groups.

• Industry Knowledge - strong knowledge of mutual fund operations and industry regulations and operations

• Experience working in financial institutions in a financial analysis/consulting role

• Strong computer skills and an expert proficiency using MS a must

• Ability to effectively translate business process steps to technology use cases and requirements

• Lead by example and build a reputation as a pragmatic problem solver who collaborates in a constructive manner to create iterative improvements for operational efficiencies within the position and across the broader organization. Enable decision making by effectively analyzing business drivers and constraints and present alternative solutions to address problems and opportunities.

• Proven problem solving and business/financial analysis skills, creative and resourceful in identifying issues and developing solutions.

• Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to analyze data in a meaningful way.

• Able to effectively articulate issues and trends to management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a sense of urgency.

• Demonstrates ability to coordinate complex process and projects.

• Possess ability to create complex financial models.

• Possesses strong ability to draft financial reporting narratives.

Decision Authorities:

• Decisions at this position are made using judgment based on skills and knowledge already developed

• Decisions beyond normal day to day may require escalation to management

• Managing projects and major deliverables

• Building financial models used for key decision-making projects

• Able to communicate results horizontally and vertically

• Provide technical leadership on financial analysis
