Deliver qualitative financial management for technology portfolio projects, including guidance on capitalization and month-end close processes for both capital and expense areas
Drive the depreciation forecasting and annual budget process, ensuring alignment with technology strategies and project deployment timelines
Drive the cloud computing implementation amortization forecasting and annual budget process, ensuring alignment with technology strategies and project deployment timelines
Evaluate and apply accounting guidance for cloud computing arrangements, including the distinction between capitalized cloud computing implementation costs and capitalized fixed asset costs
Manage the tracking and recording of cloud computing implementation costs from capitalization to prepaid amortization, ensuring compliance with GAAP, policy and process requirements
Engage with GTS Portfolio organization to conduct finance reviews as part of the portfolio funding approval process
Collaborate with project teams to identify and value technology assets, applying capitalization principles and driving asset creation and financial project closure
Manage monthly financial close process for the portfolio projects to deliver accurate financial results, including comprehensive analysis and reconciliation of key P&L and balance sheet items
Provide guidance on accounting, controls, journal reviews, and reporting for technology projects
Lead and deliver the annual asset technology hardware reviews and software auto-retirement process
Leverage data-driven insights to support financial decision-making
Manage prioritization, resolving blockers and dependencies to ensure success of key deliverables
Evaluate current processes and tools, propose and implement changes to drive efficiencies in financial operations
Introduce new tools, processes, and technology to improve efficiency, team collaboration and stakeholder engagement
Lead and develop a small team, supporting skill development and fostering a collaborative environment
7+ years of related business experience in Finance, Accounting or related field, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend comprehensive solutions within a wide variety of scenarios
Comprehensive understanding of financial statements including balance sheets and general ledgers, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and the financial close process
High level of individual accountability and the ability to influence others while maintaining key relationships in the business
Proven ability to cultivate innovation and drive improvements in financial and operational processes
Qualitative communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
High level of emotional intelligence and be able to work under firm deadlines
Experience in technology accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and cloud computing financial management a plus
Highly skilled in Excel and entire MS Office suite
Oracle Financials experience preferred
