Role Summary
- Drive advanced software engineering activities for next-generation automotive, AI, and software-defined vehicle technologies.
- Lead the technical development of software concepts, prototypes, and innovative solutions within the System Incubator and Advanced Engineering organization.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, product innovation, and research teams to evaluate emerging technologies and translate them into future product opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of advanced software solutions, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.
- Define software architectures and technical approaches for emerging technologies and system concepts.
- Drive feasibility studies, technology evaluations, and innovation projects.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, architects, and technical experts on cross-functional R&D initiatives.
- Support technology incubation and future product exploration activities.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and long-term engineering strategies.
- Establish and promote software engineering best practices, methodologies, and development processes.
- Deploy advanced AI based engineering methodologies and push the boundaries for efficiency and outcomes
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
- Engage with customers, partners, research institutions, and industry experts on strategic technology topics.
- Support the creation of patents, publications, innovation proposals, and funded research activities.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in software engineering, embedded systems, or technology development.
- Strong expertise in software architecture, design, and development.
- Experience with embedded software development and related technologies.
- Solid understanding of software engineering methodologies and best practices.
- Experience driving innovation, advanced engineering initiatives, or technical strategy.
- Practical experience in deploying AI tooling in software development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of automotive software, SDV, AI, or systems engineering is an advantage.
Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
