We are seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, and progress control activities for large-scale infrastructure construction projects, particularly in the roads, energy, and industrial sectors.
The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, extensive field experience with construction companies, and a proven ability to develop, analyze, and maintain complex project schedules. This position also plays a critical role in supporting claims, change orders, and variations, providing the claims and contracts teams with accurate, schedule-based analyses and documentation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, covering engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) schedules to create a unified project master schedule.
- Review and validate schedules submitted by subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy, logical sequencing, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Monitor project progress, analyze deviations from the baseline, and identify schedule risks and recovery opportunities.
- Prepare regular progress reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards for management.
- Work closely with the claims and contracts team to support the preparation and defense of:
- Time-related claims, change orders, and variations
- Delay and time-impact analyses
- Cause-and-effect assessments and schedule substantiation
- Contribute to claims documentation and provide expert schedule input for dispute resolution and arbitration processes, as required.
- Collaborate with project controls, engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure schedule integrity and coordination across all disciplines.
- Support the alignment of cost and schedule data for earned value analysis and project performance tracking.
Essential Traits:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure construction projects (roads, energy, or industrial).
- Solid experience working with construction contractors, with strong exposure to field operations and execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Change orders, variations, and claims preparation
- Delay analysis and time-impact assessments
- Supporting arbitration or dispute resolution (preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and progress measurement systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
