The Opportunity:
Practice Optimization Managers work with and advising clinic operators and leaders to maximize revenue cycle performance. Managers are experts in identifying issues, root cause analysis and able to provide thoughtful insights demonstrating executive presence to top level leaders. Managers lead Partners in providing consultative insights, recommendations for physician practice activities in the following areas: Registration, Scheduling, Time of Service Collections, Pre-Authorizations/Referrals, Charges, Charge Reconciliation, Charge Lag, Patient Portal Utilization and Patient Satisfaction. The manager is the face of the Practice Optimization department to their market practice leaders and associates while supporting and developing their direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Management of multiple clients, encompassing their complete revenue cycle processes and all associated tasks
- Makes informed and timely leadership decisions and leads teams with a focus on meeting objectives and goals
- Evaluate and assess the quality of work of direct reports and strategies that impact team performance and engagement
- Delegate and assign tasks and projects while ensuring timely and efficient completion
- Develop, implement, reinforce, and adhere to strategy, SOPs, policies, and procedures
- Gather data and documentation from team members on identified process enhancements
- Work alongside and in conjunction with Pre-Access on identified acute related issues, such as referrals, pre-authorizations, etc
- Collaborate seamlessly with other revenue cycle teams to address and resolve issues while delivering a high level, personalized service within the defined team scope
- Ability to lead teams and meetings professionally while building strong relationships
- Oversees and manages escalated tasks or issues for assigned clients and direct reports
- Provides feedback, coaching, corrective action (including terminations) and manages performance
Guidance and support of staff responsible for performing the following tasks, along with the capability to perform these responsibilities:
- Assess and examine revenue cycle processes for multiple clients (front end – first phone call through charge submission/reconciliation).
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Adept at independently conducting research to formulate solutions to challenges.
- Create educational content derived from root cause analysis and instruct practice staff.
- Work alongside and in conjunction with Pre-Access on identified acute related issues, such as referrals, pre-authorizations, etc.
Experience We Love:
- Must have Epic Administrator Certification. Must pass the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Examination offered through Healthcare Financial Management Association within 90 days of hire, unless already certified.
- 5-7 years of previous experience

- Influences by building trust and finding collaborative solutions that lead to action.
- Clear understanding of the revenue cycle operations in a physician practice.
- Capacity to emphasize the connection between front-end and back-end revenue cycle operations.
- Ability to perform critical thinking in-depth analysis of root cause of an issue and identify efficient and effective solutions.
- Manipulating and preparing data for root cause analysis including reporting on KPIs.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to speak/present to client leadership utilizing Executive Presence.
- Proficiency with multiple EHR platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Power Point, OneNote, and Excel at a minimum.
- Ability to adjust quickly and seamlessly to abrupt change.
- Ability to travel when needed.
- CRCR Certification, or willingness to obtain within 9 months of hire
