Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Manager Engineering Technical Support – Level 1 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
Leads a hands-on manufacturing team responsible for antenna development, integration, build, and test from prototype through production.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Uses performance data such as yield, first pass yield, cycle time, and defect trends to improve processes and standardize work.
- Provides staffing, work assignment, coaching, and performance management for technicians while fostering a safe, high-performance team environment.
- Oversees daily technical support for antenna hardware and electronics, including radome, wing, and antenna assy with accompanying machine shop support.
- Partners with RF and antenna design, Antenna and Electronics assy (M2N) test, quality, and supply chain teams to execute on both flight and IRAD hardware.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- No clearance required to start
- 3+ years of experience supporting RF or antenna hardware or antenna electronics in development or production environments
- Support hands-on onsite work in lab and manufacturing settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in antenna development, antenna electronics, or RF hardware support
- Experience with phased-array antennas, beamforming ICs, control buses, and embedded firmware interfaces
- Active clearance, or ability to obtain one, if required for the role

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
