Manager, Engineering – DE&AI
We have an opportunity for a Manager, Engineering to join our Data Engineering team reporting to the appropriate leadership. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of software and data engineers responsible for building scalable cloud services, API-driven platforms, self-serve data solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities that power customer-facing products and internal engineering efficiency. Collaborating closely with product, analytics, data science, and peer engineering teams, you will provide hands-on technical leadership across the data and application stack, guide the team from prototype to production, and help deliver high-impact, reliable, and secure solutions.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of software and data engineers through planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering initiatives
- Partner with product managers, analysts, data scientists, and peer engineering teams to gather requirements, define priorities, and build clear execution plans
- Design and oversee delivery of cloud-based applications, APIs, and data platforms using modern engineering best practices
- Build and scale production services, APIs, and self-serve data capabilities that support customer-facing products, analytics, operations, and AI-driven experiences
- Guide the team in turning prototypes and exploratory work into robust, production-ready solutions with strong code quality, testing, and observability

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
- 12 years of industry experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field, including substantial experience leading engineering teams
- Strong experience delivering reliable production software or cloud services in customer-facing environments, preferably on AWS
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Scala
- Hands-on experience building and operating scalable cloud services, APIs, distributed systems, or self-serve data applications in production
- Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, design patterns, code quality, and automated testing
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams across software engineering, data engineering, analytics, and data science
- Experience coaching engineers, managing performance, and building strong, inclusive teams that deliver high-quality results
- Strong customer orientation and ability to balance customer needs, operational excellence, short-term delivery, and long-term technical direction
