1. You will be responsible for implementing the GHS & EMS audit system in the plant and ensuring compliance and implementation of all mandatory MSRs & MERs. You will also execute and implement the five key elements of Absolute Safety, including LOTO, Hot Work, Machine Safety, PIV, No Smoking Policy, Working at Height, Electrical Safety, and Vehicle Safety.
2. You will be responsible for preparing Risk Assessments, JSA, HSE Plans, and On-site Emergency Plans, as well as conducting emergency mock drills every six months. You will also ensure implementation of SOPs and OCPs related to safety and environment, support ISO 14001 requirements, and conduct safety orientation/induction programs for new contractors and employees as per guidelines
3. You will be responsible for organizing training sessions on the Wheel of Absolute Safety across the shop floor and creating awareness among employees regarding EHS through various awareness programs. You will also implement and manage the Contractor Safety Management System.
4.You will be responsible for communicating EHS initiatives and updates to employees through newsletters, safety alerts, and other communication channels. You will also implement and manage the Fire Safety Management System, including fire safety training, organize EHS events such as Safety Week, Environment Day, and Fire Safety Week celebrations, and conduct weekly, fortnightly, and monthly shop floor EHS audits while sharing findings with relevant stakeholders.
5.You will be responsible for conducting monthly EHS committee meetings, preparing MOMs, and ensuring timely follow-ups on action items. You will also maintain the master list of ISO and Global Health & Safety documents, ensure compliance with legal requirements under the Factories Act applicable to the plant, and liaise with regulatory authorities for environmental compliance related to ETP, stack emissions, water cess, consent to operate, and environmental reporting.
6.You will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational activities are aligned with environmental requirements and assessing their environmental impact. You will also maintain and implement the EHS Regional Plan, follow up on EHS CAPEX activities with the engineering team, and submit monthly reports to the regional team.
