The Education Manager (EM) is the campus leader responsible for supporting the Executive Director and Director of Education with all education operations. Focusing on the Core Values, the EM ensures ethical conduct, sound business practices, student success, and team development. The EM is responsible for education oversight, compliant operations, and quality delivery of services to students leading to successful outcomes. Through the promotion of the Ancora learning philosophy and core classroom principles, the EM will facilitate the enhancement of student learning and achievement, retention of a strong and experienced faculty, and the advancement of compliant educational practices, resulting in successful student outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a leader within the education department at the campus level, providing oversight and leadership to ensure successful student outcomes and compliant campus operations
Meet educational outcome objectives for the programs offered at the campus, and ensure sound academic practices
Lead services and activities to ensure a quality educational experience for our students
Under the direction of the Executive Director or Director of Education, lead departmental meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet operational and administrative deadlines
Support the orientation of new faculty and provide on-going development and consistent implementation of campus curriculum, course learning materials, educational resources, and student assessments
Ensure that instructional materials and equipment are sufficient in quality and quantity, similar to those found in common occupational practice, and are properly maintained and in working order
Support ongoing faculty assessments and professional development activities that are appropriate to the school’s size and educational offerings to ensure an active, engaged, and up-to-date classroom experience for all students
Establish departmental priorities and goals, and implement the actions aligned with the larger company strategy
Work with the Executive Director and Director of Education to monitor and ensure departmental compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies’ guidelines, along with internal policies of the company
Ensure that each staff member has the knowledge and skill to successfully meet the requirements of their position through hiring, training, coaching, and supervising of personnel
Advise students as required
Support students enrolled in online coursework
Other duties as assigned
Associate degree in education or otherwise appropriate major from an academic institution accredited by an accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or equivalent work experience
1 year of employment as a post-secondary instructor
1 year of employment as a supervisor
3 years of leadership or management experience in post-secondary education
Knowledge of and experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in adult education or related fields
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers
Demonstration of the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude
Ability to lead and work in an observation/coaching style environment
Capacity to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines
Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills
Demonstrated commitment to customer service
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to develop, motivate, and mentor staff
Strong computer software skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Must have past records of integrity that would support compliance with accrediting standards and applicable federal, state, and local requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an academic institution accredited by an accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
Previous Program Director/Director of Education/Dean/Academic Management experience at the post-secondary level
Experience with the CampusNexus academic and administrative platform or other industry-related software
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry
