Job Description

The Manager, Diagnostic Imaging reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Manages the daily operations of the assigned area or function within Diagnostic Imaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment and payroll.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations.
    Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and or stock supplies.
  • Asses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare related field, including 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business related field.
  • IEMA and ARRT or ARDMS or NMTCB
  • CERT BLS
  • Certification in area of speciality
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful work environment and take appropriate action.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree.

Sign-on Bonus Eligibility (if sign-on bonus offered for position): Internal employees and rehires who left Northwestern Medicine within 1 year are not eligible for the sign on bonus. Exception: New graduate internal employees seeking their first licensed clinical position at NM may be eligible depending upon the job family.
