Position Purpose: The Manager, Database Marketing and Communications develops and oversees the strategy, content, and implementation of email, text, and direct mail. The position serves as a business partner and strategic consultant for other departments looking to reach members, providers, brokers, and other audiences with targeted, useful information. The position also collaborates with Member Services and Information Technology in the development of audience-appropriate emails and direct mail.
- Works closely with business stakeholders throughout the company to develop comprehensive campaigns, paying close attention to timing, trackable data, and content design.
- Must be comfortable coordinating new and ongoing projects and have a strong attention to detail.
- Must be experienced with data analysis and organization.
- Must have the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and meet short turnarounds and deadlines.
- Supports ongoing, multi-team initiatives. Works with limited supervision on complex projects involving content development and messaging strategy.
- Manages assigned staff in a proactive, responsive, collaborative manner.
- Reviews content for audience appropriateness and engagement potential, offering suggestions for improvement when appropriate.
- Oversees the activities of a Communications Analyst and works in unison to make strategic decisions regarding campaign design.
Education/Experience: Degree in Journalism, Communications or English preferred. 5+ years of communications experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with highest attention to detail and organization. Experience with managing comprehensive communications campaigns, including email and SMS. Experience with data management and analysis. Direct mail experience a plus. Salesforce, ExactTarget experience a plus Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
Pay Range: $67,400.00 - $121,300.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
