The role & it’s impact
We're looking for a proven people leader, with extensive experience of leading teams in a fast paced technical environment. You will be responsible for guiding and mentoring the team, managing performance, and leading delivery on key projects. A proven track record of people leadership and delivery is critical for this role.
You will lead a team of data and security compliance specialists to improve our security posture, helping to reduce the risk of incidents by ensuring our controls are efficient and effective. Beyond day-to-day management, you will bring a proactive mindset to modernise how we handle compliance.

The team & how they connect
You will guide a high-performing group of subject matter experts who specialize in risk, compliance, and education and awareness. This team is enthusiastic and highly-skilled, requiring a leader who empowers them rather than doing the technical work for them.
The team is currently working on
Maintaining and evolving our ISO and SOC2 compliance frameworks to meet changing global standards.
Building relationships with government teams to stay ahead of upcoming regulatory changes.
Where and how you can work
Our team is split across offices in Australia and New Zealand, this role can be based in Auckland or Wellington.
We value connection, so for this particular role we encourage working from our office two to three days a week, to collaborate effectively with your team and stakeholders.

You bring proven experience leading and empowering teams, with the ability to manage performance and career development effectively.
An open mindset towards technology is essential, using emerging technology to solve complex compliance challenges.
You possess subject matter expertise in audit, health checks, or compliance frameworks such as ISO and SOC2, to guide technical conversations.
Experience in coaching and mentoring staff to help them reach their full potential will see you succeed here.
