As a Data Scientist Manager, you will lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver business value through advanced analytics and data-driven solutions. This role focuses on strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of data science initiatives that support operational excellence and innovation, particularly in the semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Set clear Data Science direction and approach on respective initiatives that align and support business deliverables for PQ pillar
- Build Team Capability: Mentor team members, develop skills, and foster collaboration.
- Drive Execution: Manage project timelines, remove impediments, and ensure quality outcomes.
- Integrate Technology: Optimize processes and enable predictive insights through data systems and technology.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with peers, senior and mid-level management to implement scalable solutions.
- Leadership: Effectively lead and present to small and large groups, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in Quality-related projects.
- Proven track record in data science methodologies, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with hands-on experience in Generative AI/LLM projects.
- Familiarity with processes, systems, and solutions in the semiconductor industry (mandatory).
- Experience in statistical modeling, feature extraction and analysis, and supervised/unsupervised/semi-supervised learning.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, R, and ability to generate UI.
- Experience with data platforms such as GCP and Snowflake.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work multi-functionally with peers, senior and mid-level management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to lead and present to small and large groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and adaptable to changing business needs.
