We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Management team at Marsh. This role will be based in Pune. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office

Data Governance Senior Analyst – Markets (D2)

The Data Governance Senior Analyst focused on maintaining high standards of market data quality, accuracy, and integrity through consistent processes, controls, and timely monitoring of data feeds from rating agencies and other sources. It involves tracking market events such as mergers, acquisitions, name changes, liquidations, and review triggers, while supporting market reviews, database maintenance, shared mailbox management, and client deliverables such as Market Fact Sheets. The role also provides subject matter support to analysts and the Financial Crimes due diligence team, performs quality checks, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and contributes to continuous improvement, data insights, and knowledge management initiatives.

We will count on you to:

  • Defines and executes a set of clear and consistent processes, standards and measures to ensure data and information quality expectations related to market are met and integrity of data is upheld.
  • Manage and monitoring data feeds from rating agencies to ensure timely and accurate data flow
  • Monitor and inform of mergers and acquisitions activity, name changes, dissolutions, liquidations
  • Identify and communicate rating and market activity review triggers to team analysts and wider audience to support proactive insights and emerging risk
  • Support the administration of market reviews and controls for new and renewal processes related to their use
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining markets in the master databases and coordinating with local payto admins
  • Monitor and assist management of the team shared mailbox, promptly responding to queries and approval requests
  • Assist with creation of Market Fact Sheets and other client deliverables
  • Provide subject matter support to the Analysts and Financial Crimes due diligence team as needed.
  • Perform quality assurance checks, especially in areas involving manual processing
  • Assist in managing data gathering needs from colleagues and markets to ensure timely and accurate data flow
  • Support enabling activities or projects, such as continuous improvement, data & insights or knowledge management

What you need to have: 

  • 6+ years of experience in similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree and commitment to continuous learning
  • Previous experience of working within financial institutions, a Know Your Customer role, or rating agency knowledge
  • Ability to thrive through continuous improvement, knowledge acquisition and knowledge sharing
  • Experience or interest in company due diligence, data governance, data quality, or related areas.
  • Basic understanding of data governance concepts and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
  • Good organizational skills with working in a fast-paced environment, often balancing multiple high-priority deliverables and the ability to work independently as well collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Practical understanding of how AI/ML and generative tools work
  • Data bricks knowledge
  • Shift Timing – 12.30 pm to 9.30 pm
