A Brief Overview
This role supports the Head of Data Analytics and Administration in overseeing premium and claims administration, driving efficiency initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role involves overseeing key responsibilities such as treaty review and setup, data transformation, premium and claims validation, and reporting. This role also involves leading a team of Business Analysts, serving as a subject matter expert for stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of accuracy in reporting and administrative processes. The incumbent will mentor team members, manage performance, and support stakeholder communication, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor team members and assist in building and maintaining administration systems, procedures, and documentation to support business operations effectively.

• Lead data governance processes, including assessment and remediation of data quality issues, and contribute to the development of local and corporate standards and process improvements.

• Ensure alignment of data management processes with divisional and corporate standards.

• Oversee system functionality to ensure administration platforms meet evolving business needs.

• Ensure data accuracy for accounting records, valuation systems, regulatory returns, and other business and financial reporting requirements.

• Execute data analytics to support continuous risk monitoring and assessments, identifying patterns and trends in operational and financial data.

• Facilitate retrocession analytics and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate insights.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Statistics, Actuarial science or related field.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in life insurance or reinsurance.

• Proven expertise in SQL and VBA programming; experience with other analytics tools is a plus.

• Strong understanding of operational, accounting, and systems-related risks and controls.

• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.

• Skilled in process modelling, workflow design, and business analysis.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with a client-focused mindset.

• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and high level of integrity.
