The role is within the Risk Compliance Security Unit, reporting to the Group Director – Head of Group Risk Assurance & Data Analytics COEAs a Data Analyst at Prudential, you will be responsible for managing, analysing, and reporting data to help in decision-making processes. You will play a pivotal role in interpreting data, analysing results, and providing ongoing reports. Your insights will directly support business strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop automated data cleaning scripts and workflows to streamline data preparation.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable visualizations for stakeholders across the business.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover risk trends and patterns.
- Support internal audits and assurance reviews with data-driven evidence and reporting.
- Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
- Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, etc.) to draw insights from large data sets.
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with teams
- Experience with distributed data/computing environments
