At Salesloft, our Manager, Customer Marketing will be pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing product marketing team focused on driving the adoption, advocacy, and community engagement of our customer army. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for leading the product and customer marketing team designed to cultivate a community of customer advocates, tell their stories, and create scalable pathways for customer adoption & expansion. Specifically, you will lead a team of high-achieving customer marketers to:

  • Develop a tech-led, always-on customer and user-driven campaign programs that drive adoption of the full Salesloft platform and lead to stickier, more highly retained customers
  • Activate the customer army through development of deep and impactful customer stories that are aligned to key business priorities
  • Grow the customer advocacy program and create opportunities for advocates to connect in deep and meaningful ways with our brand
  • Build executive programs such as CAB, to develop strategic partnerships between Salesloft and our most impactful customers
  • Independently drive 1-2 key company-level initiatives. Manage the overall process, set key dates, timing, and milestones, and consistently meet those deadlines. 
  • Partner with marketing and pre and post sales leaders to drive alignment of key initiatives and collaborate on cross-functional goals to drive customer adoption, advocacy, and retention
  • Be seen as a thought-leader. Analyzes customer data and the latest trends that impact their experience with Salesloft and feeds that into the customer journey.  
  • Support a team of all-star customer marketers, providing coaching, guidance, and opportunities to grow and have fulfilling careers at Salesloft

THE TEAM:

The product marketing team consists of results oriented SaaS marketing professionals with a strong mentality and desire to win in our market. They understand the market, our customers (sales, marketing & customer success leaders, sales & revenue operations) and users (sales & customer facing teams) and partner closely with internal teams to drive winning outcomes. The professionals on our product marketing team share a few common traits: they are smart, customer-first, analytical, creative problem solvers, self-motivated, ambitious, and passionate about helping our teams evangelizing Salesloft.  

THE SKILL SET:

  • BA/BS, preferably in business, marketing, statistics, computer science or a related discipline. 
  • 5-8 years of experience in enterprise, B2B software sales engineering, product management, product marketing or consulting
  • Customer-first mentality- including being able to craft and articulate the value propositions of programs and initiatives to customers simply and clearly
  • Proven track record of collaboration across cross-functional teams, including executive leadership and ICs
  • High level of empathy - it’s important for our customer marketers to be strong partners to their marketing peers, internal partners and customers
  • Experience with sales or marketing technology applications is strongly preferred

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and delve into your territory 
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Meet key partners in product management, sales, customer success and the other marketing departments.

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Understand the Revenue Orchestration market and key players
  • Understand our key customer personas, pains, motivations, and behaviors
  • Understand Salesloft capabilities deeply and how they help customers achieve their business goals

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be viewed as a subject matter expert on our customers and their needs

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be considered a top-performing member of the product marketing team
