The Franciscan Health Manager of Central Sterile Processing (CSP) manages employees responsible for preparing, storing, and distributing equipment as needed for patient care. This position leads and directs the work of others, and oversees the proper sterilization of medical supplies and assembly of equipment. This position is, also, responsible for inventory records of the Central Supply Room. The Manager relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary, to manage the decontamination and sterilization processes.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, structure standards, and documentation systems, and programs that support the practice of sterility maintenance.
Function as a role model demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, select technical skills, and a knowledge base appropriate to Central Sterile Reprocessing/Supply.
Proactively and concurrently participate in monitoring, identifying and reporting of safety related issues.
Coordinate efforts to update policies and procedures required by federal, state and local regulations and laws, and assures unit is in a continual state of compliance.
Provide clinical leadership and collaboration on technology integration and upgrade projects.
Offer input regarding departmental needs to the Director for budget process, including impact of staff participation in PI, transition planning, new technology integration, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High School Diploma/GED
Associate's Degree Relevant field - Preferred
5 years Surgery or Sterile Processing - Preferred
1 year Managerial experience - Preferred
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - Required -OR-
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) - Required
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) - Preferred
Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - Preferred
Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - Preferred
