In this individual contributor role, you’ll serve as a key player in shaping credit and fraud risk strategies. You’ll own critical analytics functions - from credit provisioning insights to portfolio segmentation - and collaborate across teams to deliver actionable recommendations. Your work will influence long-term financial planning and executive decision-making at the highest level.
What You’ll Do
- Portfolio Segmentation & Dashboards: Build and maintain dashboards that segment credit and fraud risk profiles, driving visibility across portfolios.
- Ad-Hoc Risk Analytics: Dive deep into large datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and behavioral drivers impacting portfolio performance and loss provisioning.
- Provision Forecasting: Support the forecasting and analysis of credit loss provisions through data-backed insights and strategic commentary.
- Competitive & Macroeconomic Tracking: Monitor external market trends and macroeconomic indicators to anticipate emerging risks and opportunities.
- Self-Serve Analytics Enablement: Develop tools and frameworks to enable other teams to run their own data queries and analyses efficiently.
- Strategic Reporting: Craft clear, compelling data narratives and present findings to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in credit analytics, fraud risk, or related fields (e.g., collections, recoveries, or portfolio management).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with Looker is a plus
- Experience working with large datasets to extract actionable insights.
- Ability to communicate complex data in clear, strategic terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- A curious mindset and ability to leverage tools and AI to deeply understand trends.
- Knowledge of the Canadian subprime lending space is a bonus.
