JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Corporate Accounting is responsible for managing the accounting operations of the Company, including general ledger, producer compensation, and accounts payable. This position leads a team of accounting professionals and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. The role coaches team members to apply accounting concepts and improve processes, critically analyzes the financial impact of business decisions, and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and support organizational strategy. This position also communicates complex accounting and financial topics clearly to non-finance partners, and develops a cohesive, high-performing team through regular coaching, feedback, and support for professional growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage accounting operations across general ledger, producer compensation, and accounts payable teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of the month-end and year-end close process.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to support ad-hoc requests, business operations and
strategic goals. - Analyze financial data and trends; recommend and implement solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals to drive high performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for building out processes, problem-solving and working independently.
- Highly organized, accurate, detail-oriented and takes pride in the quality of their work.
- Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- 7-10 years of accounting experience, with some supervisory or lead responsibility.
