Responsibilities:
- Develop applications and supporting components to meet business needs
- Conduct unit testing on applications to ensure its readiness for SIT / UAT
- Assist on functional and non-functional testing of applications
- Assist System Analysts on system design and documentation
- Participate in joint development with external solution providers for external applications
- Provide effective post go-live system support on external applications
- Active involvement in production support for Java systems
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of development experience in complete system development life cycle
- Good experience and exposure in JEE enterprise application development
- Excellent Java and SQL programming experience
- Hands-on experience on web-based programming technologies & framework (E.g. Struts, Hibernate, HTML5, AJAX, JSF, web services, etc.)
- Proficient in at least one commercial RDBMS (e.g. IBM Informix/DB2, Oracle, MS SQL, etc.)
- Good knowledge in UNIX shell script programming (an added advantage)
- Experience in Windows batch script programming (an added advantage)
- Domain knowledge in insurance industry (an added advantage)
- Knowledge in other common programming languages (an added advantage)
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Team player with strong self-initiative
- Quick learning & independent individual
- Able to perform well under challenging timeline Possess outstanding professionalism with pleasant attitude and personality.
