Manager, Controls System Integration 

Who You'll Work With 

At Design Group, you'll collaborate with experienced leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to solve complex challenges for some of the world's leading companies. You'll join a growing team of more than 1,500 professionals across 45 U.S. offices where you'll be empowered to make an impact, develop your expertise, and grow your career. 

You will join the Control System Integration Practice and work with electrical and controls engineers, project teams, technical specialists, and clients across multiple industries. Design Group is recognized as a system integrator and is a Rockwell Platinum Integrator and an Ignition Enterprise Premier Integrator. 

What You'll Do 

In this role, you'll lead electrical and controls engineering teams that deliver integrated and automated manufacturing solutions. You'll work closely with project teams and clients to define solutions, assign resources, oversee execution, and maintain alignment with project objectives. This position plays an important role in project quality and team development, giving you the opportunity to strengthen technical standards, mentor professionals, and support client success across multiple industries. 

Lead electrical and controls engineers through the full project lifecycle, including conception, proposal, specification, development, integration, testing, and start-up 

Define solutions for multiple system integration projects and assign teams based on project requirements 

Monitor project performance and provide scheduling, planning, technical, and execution oversight 

Create and support technical standards that promote consistent, accurate client solutions 

Partner with project teams and clients to maintain alignment with project objectives 

Support recruiting activities for the Control System Integration Practice 

Manage and mentor team members while developing training objectives and strategies 

Coordinate project workloads and activities with regional offices and help improve methods and procedures 

Communicate project updates clearly to clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders 

What You'll Bring 

Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field 

At least nine years of combined technical and people management experience 

Experience overseeing projects involving the engineering, design, and programming of integrated and automated manufacturing systems 

Experience developing electrical schematics, PLC programs, and HMI/SCADA applications and supporting proposal development 

Ability and willingness to travel for project installation, start-up, client meetings, company meetings, training, seminars, forums, and conventions
