The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a statutory body established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong's trade. With 51 offices globally, including 13 in the Chinese Mainland, the HKTDC promotes Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub.
The HKTDC organises international exhibitions, conferences and business missions to create business opportunities for companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in the mainland and international markets. The HKTDC also provides up-to-date market insights and product information via research reports and digital news channels.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a good understanding of the consumer products industry, market trends and popular brands to drive participation and project success.
- Oversee and execute promotional activities for projects in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland;
- Formulate and execute marketing, promotion and publicity plans to maximise project impact and participation;
- Proactively identify and recruit brands and merchandise with high sales potential to participate in promotional campaigns and events;
- Manage agencies, branch offices and other related parties (including external parties) to ensure project objectives and targets are achieved;
- Monitor and evaluate the performance, progress and deliverables of agencies and service providers;
- Coordinate and negotiate with strategic partners on joint promotional initiatives;
- Ensure the smooth and timely execution of events and related activities;
- Compile post-event reports, budget analyses, evaluations and other project documentation;
- Understand the business needs of participants and facilitate relevant business matching opportunities;
- Oversee logistical arrangements, including delegates’ travel, venue setup, programme implementation and preparation of event materials;
- Provide on-site operational and administrative support as required.
Requirements:
- A recognised university degree with at least 10 years of solid work experience, preferably gained in sizable organisations, in one or more of the following areas: event organisation, project management, digital marketing and/or social media campaigns for consumer products;
- Prior experience in e-commerce and/or digital marketing in the Chinese Mainland is required;
- Strong marketing, communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in relation to the Chinese Mainland market;
- Strong understanding of Hong Kong’s economy, trade environment and key industries, as well as market and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
- Self-motivated, proactive and result-oriented with good project planning ability;
- A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently, and willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
- Willing to work overtime and travel when required.
Remuneration and Benefits:
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical and dental benefits, will be offered.

Skills Required
- Recognised university degree
