Rabobank is seeking an experienced Compliance professional to join our Risk & Compliance team on a 6–12 month contract. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our Compliance Framework while partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to support strong regulatory outcomes and a positive risk culture.
As a Compliance Manager, you will provide expert advice, conduct compliance oversight activities, support regulatory change initiatives, and help ensure compliance obligations are effectively embedded across the organisation.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and execute key components of the Compliance Framework through advisory, review, challenge, and awareness activities.
Partner with business stakeholders to support implementation of policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Act as a key point of contact for compliance advice, guidance, and interpretation of regulatory obligations.
Maintain compliance registers and monitoring records to ensure information remains accurate and current.
Monitor and report on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct second-line testing of compliance controls across non-financial crime risk portfolios and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
Support thematic reviews and compliance assessments, identifying emerging risks, trends, and opportunities for enhanced controls.
Assist in the preparation of compliance reporting for management, committees, boards, and Group stakeholders.
Support the implementation of new and updated policies and standards, including gap analysis and business engagement activities.
Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives to support a strong compliance culture.
Provide coaching and guidance to team members and contribute to capability uplift across the Compliance function.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
Minimum 10 years' experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Banking within the financial services industry.
Demonstrated expertise in risk and control frameworks and compliance monitoring activities.
Strong experience providing practical and commercially focused compliance advice.
Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience designing and delivering compliance or regulatory training programs.
Essential
Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business, Law, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks within banking and financial services.
Sound knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment and associated compliance obligations.
Understanding of financial crime compliance requirements and related risk management practices.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities.
Experience working in a dynamic regulatory environment with competing priorities.
