Job Description:

Develops and executes internal and external communication strategies to position the organization and its leaders as experts in healthcare. Maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure communication strategies support business objectives and inter-departmental goals. Creates content for amplification through traditional media, social media, video, and other channels. Supports the creation of crisis communication plans and tools for emergency preparedness management. Identifies and manages plans and messaging to address potential issues and opportunities impacting the organization, advising executives accordingly. Plans and coordinates media events, including executive talking points, media strategy, and stakeholder communications. Maintains strong relationships with relevant media outlets and manages day-to-day proactive and reactive media requests. Analyzes and evaluates research and communication methods, adjusting tactics as necessary. Participates in 24-hour, on-call availability. Provides strategic thought leadership to senior executives on major communications initiatives. Counsels executives, physicians, and colleagues on proactive and reactive strategies, including risk management. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff [Required]
• Strong storyteller with experience communicating to multiple audiences [Required]
• Deep understanding of traditional media and the trends in social media [Required]
• Proficiency in AP Style and superb writing and copy editing skills [Required]
• Strong organizational skills and experience in a high-volume, fast-paced organization [Required]
• Ability to provide media and public speaking coaching to executives, physicians, and team members [Required]
• Outstanding presentation skills [Required]
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills [Required]
• Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook [Required]
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) [Preferred]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
Work Experience:
• 5+ of experience in corporate communications, journalism, or related field [Required]
• Experience coordinating video shoots [Required]
• Experience executing strategic communications plans across a variety of internal and external channels, including social media [Required]
• Experience planning and overseeing events [Required]
• Internal communications experience in a corporate setting [Preferred]
• Presentation design and development [Preferred]
• Social media deployment [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$72,786.83 - $135,385.27
