Job Description:

  • Contributes to and helps manage relevant budgets for assigned projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of communications strategies and tactics.

  • Develops and executes communications strategies that position the organization, its clinicians and executives as national leaders in health care.

  • Manages a variety of beats/service lines and identifies proactive stories for traditional media, social media, video, or other storytelling opportunities.

• Deep understanding of the traditional media and trends in social media [Required]
• Strong storyteller with experience communicating to multiple audiences via multimedia and new media [Required]
• Holds strong relationships with local and national media [Required]
• Understands newsroom (TV, print, online, radio) operations [Required]
• Strong organizational skills and experience in a high-volume, fast-paced organization [Required]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
• in journalism, communications, public relations or related field
Work Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, media/public relations, journalism or equivalent combination of experience [Required]
• Experience working in a traditional newsroom or online news organization [Preferred]
• Experienced in brand journalism strategies [Preferred]

Pay Range:
