Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Manager Commercial and Contracts (f/m) to join our Telecom & Navigation Commercial and Contracts Team based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of an international team of professionals responsible for all commercial and contract (C&C) activities associated with major high value international satellite export contracts. The key activities you will be involved in will support the business throughout the full contract life cycle including its sales and marketing activities (proposal preparation and negotiation phases) and program delivery phase (contract monitoring and Close-out).

This specific role will take the lead in the following areas:

Commercial activities

  • preparation of prime telecoms and navigation satellite commercial and financial proposals with a focus on competitivity and commercial risk anticipation and mitigation

  • definition, presentation to management and implementation of commercial strategy

  • preparation of internal approval documentation for bid submission and contract signatures

  • providing regular commercial briefings to senior management.

Contractual activities (pre and post contract award)

  • drafting, reviewing, redlining and negotiating agreements of various types (MOAs, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, equipment contracts, services agreements, satellite and turnkey contracts)

  • support contract execution enforcing the sales purchase agreements/contract including main milestone/related payments management and in close alignment & agreement with the finance, legal, and other specialist functions

  • claims and waiver management

  • preparation and negotiation of contract change notices

  • monitor the customer obligations and associated changes along the contract life cycle

  • support the delivery and contract close-out activities

  • support to financing, insurance and other commercial schemes

  • design and implementation of complex contracting schemes involving numerous multi-party agreements.

Your profile:

  • A minimum of ten year’s experience of working within an international business environment

  • Good knowledge of international contracts

  • Contract drafting experience would be an asset

  • A track record in negotiating high value international contracts is highly desirable

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both autonomously and within the structure of a large project team

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are essential

  • Good team player with the ability to integrate quickly into a multi-national team and advocates team building and team spirit

  • Open minded person who is able to quickly assess and contributes ideas to various commercial situations

  • Positive mindset and attitude and flexibility to adapt to a fast pace and continually changing environment is essential.

Business travel can be expected worldwide and consequently, you must be willing to travel accordingly.
