ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cloud and Infrastructure Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance, reliability, and security of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This role involves managing a team of engineers and IT professionals to ensure the efficient and effective operation of all systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both on-premises and cloud technologies, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and monitoring of both on-premises and cloud-based systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Hybrid Strategy: Develop and implement strategies that integrate on-premises and cloud solutions, aligning with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with security policies and regulatory requirements, implementing best practices for data protection and privacy.
• Incident Management: Coordinate response to infrastructure-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with service providers and other third-party vendors to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Budget Management: Oversee the operations budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Candidates without a degree must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations or a related field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in both on-premises and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong understanding of security, networking, and infrastructure management.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
