Opportunity at a Glance
The Business Operations Manager position represents Elevate Healthcare Operations business unit in identifying, organizing, and leading the simplification and standardization of business processes. This role is critical to the success and scalability of Covista’s partnerships with Healthcare Employers to support the growth of our institutions.
The Healthcare Operations works closely across Institution and Home Office functions to design and execute scalable models with healthcare providers across the entire learner lifecycle. This individual will be a critical member of the Operations team as we expand to additional employers, programs and diversify our partnership models.
This role continually identifies opportunities to standardize processes to drive out costs, improve service, achieve institutional consistency, and boost efficiency while maintaining high quality levels. It requires strong partnerships with business stakeholders to deliver process improvements and quality outcomes through proven process design, improvement, and management skills—leveraging best practices, data trends, technologies, and project management methodologies.
The role is critical to connecting business strategy to technology development across CDX pods to support scale. The individual leverages their expertise with key internal systems like Salesforce, Banner, ProSam and Power BI to shape and implement tech roadmaps for partners. The individual will be charged with investigating issues to identify root causes, design process improvements and then apply those learnings to the business operations strategy.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders while leading during various stages of projects to define, analyze, document and publish project data, surveys, business processes, and information exchange requirements. Additionally, assesses benefits post-project to report success and/or reassess next steps.
Partners with leadership to translate challenges into strategic business priorities and solutions.
Leads stakeholder briefings, progress status reporting, definition of measures, and generation of project ideas.
Builds and maintains relationships across the enterprise and understands at a high-level what initiatives are moving forward in other areas of the organization.
Conducts business systems process analysis and needs assessments in an effort to identify business process improvements.
Coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of respective department functions.
Communicates with project teams after UAT execution to inform them of results, including any issues, problems or risks with the process or application.
Leads and manages multiple assignments simultaneously, creates and updates documented project plans, monitors, and reports progress to ensure that required work is delivered on time.
Drive technology development across CDX pods to support scale through testing, requirement writing, and release management.
Leverages hands-on experience as a frontline user of key internal systems (Salesforce, Banner, Power BI, etc.) to help form and implement the technology roadmap for partner programs.
Supports day-to-day testing and partner-facing teams (secret shopping, sample testing, lead routing) while investigating issues, identifying root causes per Elevate guidance, and driving quality assurance processes across systems and teams.
Ensures that University policies and procedures are examined for the benefits provided and impediments removed when possible; ensures that the quality of data and conclusions are justified.
Ensures that project team members work together to define business processes, recommend system configuration, and project manage their development as needed.
Develops and maintains a solid knowledge of the various enterprise applications, technologies, and business processes through a spirit of inquiry, analysis, and needs assessment in an effort to identify business process improvements.
Ensures that a change management process occurs throughout the organization such that the full benefits of innovation are realized, and it embraces principles of continuous improvement.
Archives project documentation, test results and any relevant information according to business standards and processes.
Drives quality assurance processes across systems and teams, refines and documents cross-functional processes and standards for partner management, and supports the team's manual reporting as needed.
Helps refine, document, and standardize cross-functional processes and standards for partner management.

- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5+ years experience process improvement or operations experience, especially documenting workflows and identifying gaps; quality assurance and testing experience required
- Front-line experience in academic or similar environment preferred
- Experience with systems like Salesforce, Banner, Power BI, or other CRM/reporting platforms preferred
- Successful track record of cross-functional operations in a fast-paced environment preferred

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70696.34 and $127957.05. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
