About the RoleReporting to the Vice President of Finance, North America Land, you will lead financial planning, business performance analysis, forecasting, and decision support activities for a large and dynamic business segment.
You will oversee a team of finance professionals while partnering closely with leaders across Sales, Operations, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Shared Services to drive performance, improve profitability, and support strategic initiatives.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct exposure to executive leadership and meaningful influence on business strategy.
What You'll DoBusiness Partnership & Performance Leadership- Serve as a trusted finance advisor to business and operational leaders.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations that drive growth, profitability, and operational performance.
- Develop business cases, pricing analyses, investment evaluations, and strategic recommendations.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, performance scorecards, and financial metrics.
- Lead business reviews with senior leadership and support strategic decision-making.
- Partner on growth initiatives, capital investments, and M&A evaluations as needed.
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Deliver timely financial reporting, variance analysis, and business performance insights.
- Improve forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.
- Develop and enhance financial models, reporting tools, and forecasting methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with corporate planning and reporting requirements.
- Lead business analytics initiatives focused on customer profitability, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and executive-level analytics.
- Leverage Power BI, Tableau, Oracle, and other technologies to improve decision support capabilities.
- Drive automation, standardization, and process improvements across finance operations.
- Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and business visibility.
- Support strong financial controls, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Shared Services teams.
- Support audit readiness, SOX compliance, and risk mitigation activities.
- Identify and address key financial and operational risks.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Create development plans and succession opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build organizational capability and strengthen finance business partnership skills across the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, business analytics, accounting, or related disciplines.
- 3-5+ years of people leadership experience.
- Strong financial planning, forecasting, business partnering, and reporting experience.
- Experience supporting senior leadership through financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving change.
- CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience in energy, logistics, transportation, distribution, or related industries.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Oracle, and enterprise planning tools.
- Continuous improvement, automation, and process optimization experience.
