Overview
The Mastercard Singapore team is looking for a Manager for Business Development to support our Real-time-payments (RTP) portfolio business and drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating to resolve complex problems. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
The Role • As a Manager for Business Development, you will be responsible for all activity within the selected customer group, setting and driving the strategy for each customer and coordinating all resources. • Craft business requirements document from customers and collaborate with global product teams to design and enhance product features • Collaborate with existing customers for product release planning & management, change management, query management & product roadmap planning • Monitor product performance and track KPIs, gather user feedback, and iterate on features to improve usability and security. • Responsible for driving a high profile and high visibility project associated with the customer, requiring the role to collaborate and drive multiple internal functions and liaising with external departments of the customer. • The successful candidate must be comfortable and experienced at leading meetings with both the customer and Mastercard leadership team and must be skilled at cutting through the 'noise' to the heart of issues and opportunities. • Develop strong customer relationships across levels and functions (particularly product, portfolio/usage, fraud, marketing, operations, strategy and information technology) and influence or change customer preference towards Mastercard as a strategic partner and solution provider. • The successful candidate must be expert in securing and coordinating indirect resources across Mastercard's matrix-based organization - critical to the success of this role is ensuring that you can source the support required to deliver to your customer group. • The successful candidate will be a custodian of the customer P&L and Mastercard expects you to effectively manage your customer business agreements, make the right investment decisions to grow the short, as well as long term value of the customer relationship and deliver the net revenue objectives. • With a flat matrix structure, the successful candidate will also engage in addressing some operational activities as required in this role and be the customer contact for all activity. With responsibility for all administrative and operational issues for the target customer set.
All About You • The candidate must have a proven track record in Strategic Sales, product management and Client Account Management. • Sound business judgment with established conceptual thinking and proven financial acumen and analytical skills. • Ability to interact with and influence and build consensus across a variety of internal and external stakeholders and levels of leadership. Good team player who is collaborative able to work well in a matrix organization. • Demonstrates self-awareness, coachability, openness to different approaches, ideas and willingness to challenge status quo and drive new business initiatives. • Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders. • Track record of performance on revenue and share growth. • As an individual contributor, the ability to drive execution in an unstructured and quick changing environment with a high degree of planning ahead and self-management required. • Undergraduate degree in business / computer sciences / engineering will be ideal.
