Our Opportunity

Restaurant Brands International is looking for a Manager, Business Development to join the Burger King Business Development & Franchising Team based in Miami, FL. This role plays a key part in driving the growth and strength of the Burger King franchise system across the U.S. and Canada. The Manager will focus on identifying, evaluating, and onboarding high-quality franchisees to help achieve RBI’s strategic growth and refranchising goals.
This includes sourcing and attracting new franchise candidates, conducting financial and operational diligence, managing a robust CRM-based lead pipeline, and working cross-functionally to advance qualified candidates through the Burger King Franchisee Approval Process. This is a highly visible, strategic position that combines sales, relationship management, and financial acumen to help build the future of the Burger King brand.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Partner with business unit leaders to develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive long-term growth of the Burger King brand.
  • Attract and engage top-quality prospective franchisees, leveraging RBI’s marketing tools, industry partnerships, conferences, and innovative sourcing channels.
  • Conduct due diligence on franchise candidates, including review of financials, operational readiness, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Manage the lead pipeline using the company’s CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and consistent progress reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations summarizing lead progress, pipeline health, and candidate conversion metrics for senior leadership.
  • Support RBI’s broader Refranchising and New Restaurant Growth (NRG) initiatives by identifying potential buyers for existing restaurants and new development opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in sales, business development, or franchising (QSR or related industries preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong financial literacy and ability to evaluate pro forma statements and franchise business plans
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A growth and entrepreneurial mindset, with high integrity, personal accountability, and passion for team and brand success
  • Ability to travel intermittently throughout the year and represent the Brand at franchise recruitment events, conferences and discovery days
