The Manager, Business Analysis designs how Gamma's operation works: it turns operational needs into to-be process designs, authors the management systems that document them, specifies the tools that run them, and owns the bridge through which product change enters the operating system. It is the design-and-build half of Business Systems, which embeds and improves what this role designs. Success is a management system that is fully designed, correctly tooled, and handed over ready to run — not a document that looks complete.
- Gather requirements and design the to-be process for management systems across the defined systems, co-building with the function owners who will run them.
- Apply a systems-thinking lens to every design — manual vs. technology, cost, scalability, and user response — rather than documenting the status quo.
- Work Design → Pilot → Scale: prove a design in one place before rolling it across cities.
- Author each management system to the full 12-part anatomy — policy, workflow, cadence, owner, champion, checklist and control points, SLAs, audit, exception management, SOP version, change control, and KPI.
- Own SOP version control and the authoring standard, so a system marked done is genuinely complete against the Definition of Done, not partially filled.
- Ensure the three most-skipped parts — champion, exception management, and change control — are designed in, not left blank.
- Specify and map the tools that run the operation: systems of record (customer & contract, payments/collections, vehicle & telematics, workshop & maintenance), workflow and accountability tools, controls tooling, and the knowledge/SOP repository.
- Map system events to KPIs so operating performance — including Systems Compliance Rate — is actually measurable rather than asserted.
- Write the requirements Engineering builds against; this role specifies, Engineering delivers.
- Own the interface between Product/Engineering and Operations — translating operational needs into product requirements and product changes into process change.
- Produce a process delta at spec time for any change that affects a stage, owner, SLA, KPI, or system event — the front door through which every product change enters the operating system.
- Hold that door closed: no product change reaches teams without its process delta, ending the side-channel that lets SOPs go stale.
- Apply the ratchet with Operations Excellence: no BA spec is done until its SOP delta is drafted; Ops Excellence then embeds it, and no improvement sprint is done until that SOP is updated.
- Hand every designed system to Operations Excellence ready for first-run, training, and embedment — with the owner, controls, and KPI already defined.
- Drive designed systems toward completion so system maturity moves from ~1.5 toward >4.0 — this role owns the design-completeness contribution to that score
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years in business analysis, process design, or systems analysis — ideally in an operations-heavy, fintech, or mobility environment.
Demonstrated experience designing SOPs or management systems to a defined standard — and getting them adopted, not just filed.
Strong requirements engineering and process mapping (e.g. BPMN), with a systems-thinking approach to manual-vs-tech trade offs.
Experience specifying operating tools — systems of record, workflow tools — and mapping data/system events for measurement.
Track record operating as the bridge between operations and product/engineering — fluent in both languages.
Comfort with Design → Pilot → Scale discipline rather than big-bang roll-outs.
