Position Purpose:
The Manager, Brand PR is a key member of The Home Depot Brand Communications team and is responsible for driving external communications that amplify the company’s brand-building activations, including sports marketing, audience-focused initiatives as well as product storytelling.
This position works with business partners and external agencies to identify opportunities with media, industry influencers and other key external stakeholders, translating marketing programs and live experiences into compelling earned media stories. The role leads strategic collaboration, tactical execution and measurement of public relations efforts that strengthen brand authority and support business objectives.

Working closely with The Home Depot’s Brand Marketing, Sports Marketing, Audience Marketing, Merchandising and other cross-functional teams as well as external public relations and marketing agencies, the candidate must be able to manage integrated consumer and trade communications programs from strategy through execution. The ideal candidate is an excellent project manager with strong media relations, event activation, agency and budget management experience, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- 45% Manage & Support Strategies - Planning and execution of internal and external communications; Serve as communications partner to senior leaders and teams within to amplify key initiatives for both internal and external audiences; Specifically, partner with function and project teams to deliver effective communications that support business objectives; Drive consistency of messaging and partner with internal channel owners to find creative ways to connect company strategy and goals to communications
- 30% Message Creation - Create messaging and materials for initiative-based and regular, ongoing communications including key messaging and priorities to be readily understood by associates at various level
- 20% Delivering Results - Develop and deliver a measurable earned media strategy that supports The Home Depot's product innovation objectives and engages The Home Depot's customer base of do-it-yourselfers and professional contractors and drives year-over-year business growth
- 5% Communication - Develop sustained communications metrics to assess ongoing effectiveness of internal and external communication efforts

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.

- Must have B2C experience and examples of placements

- Proven experience providing counsel, developing, and executing communications campaigns that support business objectives in collaboration with merchandising, e-commerce, marketing, professional services and other departments within and organization
- Experience developing strong collaborative partnerships with internal marketing teams to support new marketing and sales initiatives
