The Brand Activation team, an arm of the broader Roku Client Services team, is responsible for managing and growing Roku’s partnerships with advertisers through Roku’s suite of Ad Experience offerings, enabling our clients to reach their business objectives.

About the role
The Brand Activation team is a strategic partner to Roku’s Clients and the Roku Ad Sales team, and plays a pivotal role in ensuring end-to-end success for our advertising partners’ post-sale campaign execution success. Being a Manager on the Brand Activation team requires a unique blend of both hands-on knowledge at the individual contributor level, as well as leadership experience.
As a Manager, Brand Activation you will be a critical partner in both supporting Roku sales and working externally with clients, while creating & driving process and execution cross-functionally with internal teams. This role will differ from a conventional management position, in that you will need to not only manage a team of individual contributors and keep them in close alignment, but also need to possess the operational savvy to collaborate with key stakeholders and drive change.
You will leverage a deep understanding of the Ad Sales/Client Services role to drive process, support sales teams and improve outputs to clients across Roku Ad Product offerings. You will be responsible for team-wide initiatives, operating procedures and ensuring the team is properly supporting business development to meet revenue goals.
The Manager, Brand Activation will also manage campaign escalations and ensure appropriate resolution, especially on priority accounts, between other cross-functional teams such as Sales, AdOps, Design, Product, and Marketing teams. A balance of strong project management experience, client-first approach and the ability to build strong relationships with partners in the Roku organization will be key to the candidate’s success.
For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $140,000 and $232,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for leading a team focused on executing Roku Ad Product offerings, driving incremental revenue, upselling & revenue retention
- Oversee the delivery of tailored advertising solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations
- Oversee the operational aspects of execution, ensuring efficient processes, resource allocation, and compliance with industry standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational tools and efficiency
- Coordinate efforts between other cross-functional teams as necessary collaborating with Sales, Ad Ops, Product, Marketing, and Measurement
- Partner with GTM teams on new product rollouts for ad sales teams
- Develop a keen understanding of how the Roku platform and unique ad products will deliver brand value in support of the clients advertising goals
- Manage a team of 4-8 direct reports
We’re excited if you have
- 5-8 years experience in account management/client services, program management at an ad tech company, publisher, or media agency
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Ambition to develop and nurture the development of other’s career growth
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently while using departmental resources, policies and procedures
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and influential written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the Roku platform and ecosystem
- A proven track record of managing large-scale operations and delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders, executive teams, and industry groups
- Collaborator mentality, resourceful, exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in display and video advertising with a premium publisher or agency
- Analytical, project management, deadline-driven, and process-oriented personality
- Experience with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Asana preferred
- Familiar with commercial digital ad serving tools for video and display
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
