Billing Lead

We are seeking an experienced Billing Lead to join our Global Finance team and oversee the billing operations for our multinational company.

As the Global Billing Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing billing strategies, policies, and procedures across multiple legal entities and currencies. You will lead a team of billing professionals and collaborate with senior leadership to ensure efficient and accurate billing processes that support our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive billing strategy aligned with the company's global business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of billing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the end-to-end billing cycle, including invoicing, project billing reconciliations, and customer communications for multiple legal entities and currencies.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to optimize billing systems and processes, ensuring seamless integration across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, regional finance leaders, and major clients.
  • Implement best practices for contract management, budget tracking, and project reconciliations to maximize revenue recognition and minimize billing discrepancies.
  • Provide strategic insights and regular reports to senior management on billing performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and reporting standards.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in billing or accounts receivable roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Proven track record of successfully managing billing operations for a global company
  • Strong understanding of international financial regulations and multi-currency transactions
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite, Financial Force, or Anaplan
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage remote teams
  • CPA or other relevant professional certification is a plus
