About the Team:

As part of the global Marketing organization, the B2B Enterprise Marketing team is responsible for driving business growth in partnership with the product and sales teams of our enterprise businesses: Dow Jones Newswires, Factiva, and Risk & Compliance. The team runs a client centric approach focused on industries and accounts developing and activating strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, build our reputation and deepen relationships in these select industries and accounts.


 

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the visual system of our enterprise web experience (dowjones.com/professional/) in collaboration with the B2B Enterprise Marketing team. You will focus on designing a robust, responsive, user-friendly website experience that aligns with our overarching business goals. 

This role is based in-person in New York, NY, working on-site in our midtown Manhattan office three days a week, reporting to the Director of Web Experience.


 

You Will:

  • Stay ahead of the curve by continuously exploring the latest web design trends and evaluating Dow Jones’ competitive landscape, ensuring our digital presence remains innovative, compelling and engaging.

  • Embrace a data-driven approach to design by monitoring and analyzing performance metrics, gaining insights into user engagement and optimizing designs based on real-world feedback.

  • Collaborate with the B2B Enterprise Marketing team to understand objectives and develop a best-in-class, user-friendly design system.

  • Work closely with social media and paid media team members to craft a cohesive and integrated design experience that enhances Dow Jones’ reach and impact. Partnering with art directors, designers, copywriters and external partners to achieve this synergy.

  • Design graphics, digital proofs, UI/UX layouts, and visual concepts that captivate and engage users.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our brand voice, visual identity to ensure a consistent and unified approach across all deliverables.

  • Craft style guides and work closely with other designers to execute design briefs.

  • Assist the marketing team in producing visual assets such as landing pages, web components and UI elements.

  • Develop wireframes and mock-ups that are both persuasive and visually appealing.

  • Create responsive templates optimized for desktop, mobile and tablet.

  • Research and develop user journeys to ensure seamless transitions between key sections of the site.

  • Provide development-ready designs to support ongoing site enhancements.


 

Specifically, you should have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a junior web designer or graphic designer.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, or a related field.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in previous web design projects.

  • Practical experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Sketch.

  • An understanding of color theory, typography, layout design and usability principles, particularly for web design.

  • Proficiency in graphic design and a deep understanding of how various elements interact on a web page.

  • A creative mindset with exceptional visual communication skills, multimedia and design capabilities.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, manage stakeholders, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A thorough understanding of the latest industry trends, design tools, and accessibility standards.

  • Working knowledge of HTML is a plus.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $135,000
