Manager - Authentication Product Management

Overview
The Mastercard Authentication Program owns how consumer authentication works for both in-store and e-commerce transactional use cases. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver best-of-breed authentication products for e-commerce transactional use cases that will drive uptake and penetration for the products and revenue for Mastercard. The authentication products that fall within this role’s responsibilities are ID Check, Token Authentication Service and Token Authentication Framework.
You will research market analysing market trends from both industry and mastercard data. You will discover customer needs by engaging with customers and account teams and performing interviews to gather insight in each region. You will develop product ideas and solutions based on these customer insights that will inform the overall product strategy. You will test your product ideas with customers gaining feedback, moving towards the best performing product solution that can then be brought to market.
You will communicate the results of your analysis and product research to key stakeholders and the Product Management team in order to develop a robust product strategy and roadmap.
Your Role
Market Research Excellence: Conduct thorough Issuer market research to identify market size, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Your insights will directly inform our product development and marketing strategies for authentication products that will impact Issuers.
Product Validation: Work closely with our Product Discovery and CX teams to define and test product concepts with target audiences. Use both qualitative and data-driven methods to ensure our ideas hit the mark.
Customer Engagement: Work with Account Managers and Regional teams to build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, customers, and industry stakeholders. Continuous feedback is your secret weapon for refining our strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Dive deep into Issuer customer feedback and market data to spot trends and patterns. Prepare detailed Issuer customer reports to guide strategic decisions
Role Requirements
Relevant degree in Marketing or Business Economics, similar
Proven experience in market research, or related role
Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in market research tools
Experience in conducting customer interviews and discovering unmet needs
Proven track record in market sizing and analysis
Proven product discovery ability, developing solutions with real product/market fit
Demonstrated leadership of Proof of Concept development, Design sprint management, Design Thinking workshopping.
Strong communicator with analytical and strategic thinking skills
