Job Description
Role Purpose and Accountabilities:
We are looking for an adept and experienced Data Analytics Manager to join our Data and Analytics team and enhance our business intelligence services. This role is pivotal in utilizing your data analytics expertise to create, maintain, and optimize critical business reports and customized analytics.
As a Data Analytics Manager, you will engage directly with stakeholders across the organization, taking the lead in obtaining business requirements, collaborating with data engineers to generate required datasets, and creating models and outputs that the business can use immediately to unlock potential value.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Tableau reporting platform, including site administration, access control, and data management, ensuring that dashboards are current, and reporting metrics from various data sources are consistent and accurate.
- Guiding junior data analysts and disseminating best practices for data structure, dashboard design, and configuration.
- Operating as the primary point of contact in the data and analytics space, acting as a mediator between data engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and architect efficient data and analytics solutions.
- Undertaking tailored data analyses to spot trends, identify patterns, and discover insights. Crafting visually engaging and effective data visualizations.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of their data and reporting needs.
- Building and maintaining data models and dashboards in Tableau.
- Providing ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
- Designing and maintaining dynamic and informative dashboards for business users.
- Ensuring data accuracy and consistency in reports and dashboards.
- Automating reporting processes wherever feasible.
- Enforcing data governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

Key Deliverables
Report Development:
- Design and develop Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Migrate existing dashboards from PowerBI to Tableau, working with data engineers to ensure that underlying data model is fit for purpose and accurate.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and relevance in visualisations.
Data Analysis:
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support business decision-making.
Dashboard Optimisation:
- Optimise Tableau dashboards for performance and responsiveness.
- Implement best practices to enhance user experience and interactivity.
Automation and Efficiency:
- Implement automation where possible to streamline reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency.
User Training and Support:
- Provide training sessions for end-users on Tableau functionality and best practices.
- Offer ongoing support to users, addressing issues and answering queries.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain documentation for Tableau dashboards, data sources, and processes.
- Ensure documentation is comprehensive and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform quality checks on reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate data and report outputs.
Ad Hoc Reporting:
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Be flexible and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a BI data analyst, with a strong track record of collaborating with the business
- Proficiency with Tableau or equivalent BI tools.
- Strong SQL skills for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation of data processes.
- Experience working with large volumes of data and complex data models.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with telecom industry preferred.
