Job Description

The Manager, Analytics and Market Research – APEX Eye Care, will create and develop insights and analytic solutions based on business needs for multiple brands within the eyecare portfolio.  The individual will derive findings and implications from payer, physician, distributor, and patient/consumer analytics and market research to strengthen commercial understanding of marketplace dynamics, performance, and brand opportunities; inform the annual brand planning process; and support fact-based marketing and sales decisions to optimize performance.  The individual aligns business issues with findings and implications with limited manager support, proactively identifies solutions that drive action, and is a highly effective communicator of results.

  • Deliver the analytics and market research inputs to the annual brand planning process, including coordinating insights across the patient journey, market structure and standard of care from claims, awareness and usage tracking, and appropriate competitive intelligence, payer insights, etc.
  • Lead custom market research projects, qualitative and quantitative, from design through reporting, managing suppliers, timelines, and budgets, and ensuring all research and vendor work aligns to company policy and data-access requirements.
  • Identify sub-national drivers of brand performance across accounts, physicians, and distribution channels.
  • Partner with the above-brand analytics team on promotional and marketing-mix evaluations, supplying brand and market context, interpreting results, and presenting implications and recommended actions to brand teams.
  • Coordinate across 1APEX to deliver physician, patient, payer/managed care, competitive, and economic insights on product and indication performance by integrating claims, syndicated, and primary market research data

  • Strong analytical reasoning, intellectual curiosity, business acumen, and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights and influence decisions in a matrixed organization.
