The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Busbar EMEA is fully responsible for the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering agenda for the Busbar product line across EMEA, with primary scope across RAK, UAE and Burnfoot, Ireland. Reporting to the AME Director EMEA, this role leads the industrialization strategy, manufacturing readiness, technology roadmap, and cross-site AME execution required to support business growth, successful product launches, and long-term manufacturing competitiveness. The role owns NPDI readiness, prototype and pilot manufacturing support, process industrialization, automation roadmap, capacity planning, CAPEX planning, and process standardization for Busbar across EMEA. It ensures both plants have the required manufacturing concepts, tools, technologies, standards, and engineering support to deliver safe, scalable, and efficient production.

Key responsibilities: 
•    Lead the AME function for the Busbar product line across EMEA (RAK in UAE and Burnfoot in Ireland).
•    Be fully accountable for Busbar AME priorities, execution, standards, and roadmap. Lead, organize, and develop the AME team in RAK and Burnfoot
•    The main AME point of contact for BB within BU, plant and central functions.
•    Own NPDI readiness for Busbar and ensure all new products, product changes, and transfer projects are launched with full manufacturing readiness in place.
•    Lead prototype, pilot, and pre-production manufacturing readiness activities.
•    Ensure processes, layouts, tooling, fixtures, equipment, work instructions, and test capabilities are prepared to support successful launch and stable ramp-up.
•    Coordinate industrialization activities with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and local Manufacturing Engineering teams.
•    Drive design for manufacturability and design for assembly reviews to ensure efficient and scalable manufacturing implementation.
•    Standardize manufacturing methods, process flows, layouts, tooling concepts, time standards, and documentation across both plants.
•    Drive best practice sharing and replication of successful manufacturing solutions across sites. Own the automation and manufacturing technology roadmap for Busbar in EMEA.
•    Identify, evaluate and implement automation, digitalization, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and process technology solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
•    Lead capacity planning activities for product transfers, localization, expansions. Prepare, justify, and support execution of CAPEX related to industrialization, automation, NPDI.
•    Partner with Finance, Operations, and plant leadership to ensure investment prioritization and benefit realization.
•    Lead strategic process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, labor efficiency, flow, quality improvement, waste reduction, and cost optimization.
•    Support ramp-up and stabilization of new or modified processes until performance targets are achieved.
•    Apply Lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen methods, industrial engineering tools, and structured problem solving to deliver measurable business impact.
•    Ensure clear separation between AME responsibilities and plant ME responsibilities. Support customer audits, technical reviews, and site visits where required.
•    Provide regular updates to EMEA leadership on launch readiness, AME project execution, investment needs, risks, and resource priorities.
•    Ensure all AME activities are executed in compliance with company standards, EHS requirements, quality requirements, and applicable regulations.

Education: 
-    Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations or another related technical field. Language skills: Fluent English

Experience: 
-    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
-    Minimum 8 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrialization, or technical operations.
-    Proven experience with NPDI, prototype builds, process industrialization, automation, capacity planning, and CAPEX execution.
-    Strong experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for process development, launch readiness, and cross-functional project execution.
-    Experience working in a matrix organization with product / BU and plant interfaces.
-    Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, tooling, fixtures, production readiness, and industrialization methods.
-    Strong project management and execution capability. Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
-    Good understanding of Lean manufacturing, standard work, capacity analysis, line balancing, and process optimization.
-    Willingness to travel regularly within EMEA.
