The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting
department, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and supporting organizational
goals through effective financial management. This role manages a team of accounting professionals,
implements process improvements, and partners with leadership to provide insights that drive
business decisions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting team, including accounts payable,

  • accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, debt and investment and revenue reporting.

  • Lead accounting implementation of ERP system.

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and

  • company policies.

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and

  • reporting and subsequent creation of annual ACFR and NTD report.

  • Coordinate and support external and internal audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting

  • requirements.

  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and

  • ensure compliance with internal controls.

  • Analyze financial data and provide management with actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, HR, procurement) to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

  • Manage, coach, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive automation and process improvements to streamline reporting and increase efficiency.

  • All job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED:

  • CPA or CMA.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

  • Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Skilled in financial analysis, forecasting, and internal controls.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, solve problems, and provide actionable insights.

  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Pay Range:

$92,003.00 - $129,954.50 Annual
