Job Summary:
As a Manager, Supply Chain Finance - Logistics, you will be a part of the Tyson Finance & Accounting Team and will play a crucial role in championing our culture of safety, diversity, Team Member development, and operational excellence.
This position will support all Finance, Accounting, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities associated with the Tyson Warehousing function, which includes both internal and external operations. This position works directly with the Warehouse Finance and Operations Leadership Teams as well as their direct reports, and will proactively communicate financial results, including value-added analysis. Position will be an integral member of the Warehouse operations team and will work closely with the team on a daily basis. This role will also be responsible for supporting Warehouse projects that result in standardizing, simplifying, and modernizing current processes. This will also include the successful execution of sustainable, value-added reporting capabilities across the Warehousing Operations. Other essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to, building and maintaining effective working relationships with various levels in the organization and being a champion of Tyson’s mission, core values, and team behaviors are critical.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist with ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls for all financial processes within the Warehousing business unit; including all required month-end and quarter-end close activities
Support the financial analysis on all initiatives and decisions, as well as value-added financial analysis surrounding network optimization and cost optimization activities
Prepare forecasts and KPIs to help ensure performance targets are met and actions are put in place when necessary to drive improvement
Support team efforts to proactively engage with BU Finance partners to help ensure segments meet initiatives and KPI’s related to Warehouse costs; includes variance analysis reporting and communication.
Consolidation and reporting activities for the Warehouse function, which includes, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial analysis, and all FP&A activities
Other ad-hoc projects in support of continuous improvement across the entire network
What you’ll bring…
5+ years (preferred) of experience supporting operational activities. Experience in warehousing operations is a plus.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data to support decision-making
Ability to work both in a leading role and as part of a larger team with a desire to support a people-focused culture
Experience in supporting transformation, demonstrating a comfort with disruption
A self-starter with a fearless approach to dive in and move with speed
Ability to thrive in a transformational environment
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred).
Experience: Preferred 5+ years’ experience in finance and accounting or a related role in Supply Chain - Logistics
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Working knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is also preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to influence.
Supervisory: Position is responsible for the supervision and development of direct reports
Special Skills: Strong analytical skills and people skills; must be comfortable working with members of the Senior Leadership Teams.
Travel: Possibly 2-5 domestic trips per year
