Job Description
Experience
- 5 years of experience in healthcare operations (hospital, ambulatory, or ancillary)
- 3 years of experience managing projects in a healthcare or business environment
- 2 years of experience managing teams
- Experience with portfolio and program management
- Process improvement training and/or hands-on experience in process improvement
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business administration, health-related discipline or related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma Black Belt
Certification Summary
- Epic certification in Cadence, Grand Central, or Prelude
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced leadership and management skills
- Ability to lead a team and work independently to manage projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements and projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Epic Electronic Medical Record (specifically in the areas of Access)
- Excellent verbal and writing skills for executive communications and project reporting including but not limited to presentations in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with stakeholders
- Skilled in facilitating and leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with groups or teams at all levels of the organization and across organizational lines
- Aptitude for problem-solving and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated ability to confront and creatively manage conflict
- Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities

Job Responsibilities
- Manages and deploys a team of project managers, process specialists and data specialists dedicated to identifying and implementing improvement opportunities to support new and existing processes, programs, and services.
- Fosters professional development, continually driving best practices.
- Drives the successful implementation of the overall portfolio of assigned initiatives.
- Provides project direction, establishes effective communication, and ensures that execution of the portfolio is in line with overall goals.
- Regularly prioritizes portfolio to ensure the appropriate allocation of resources.
- Prepares status reports and updates by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Facilitates meetings that have clear objectives and meaningful outcomes.
- Maintains budget in accordance with the assigned plan.
- Creates effective presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Partners with system resources as needed, including Finance, HR, Foundation, Marketing, and Internal and External Communications.
- Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including: interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, developing, as well as monitoring overall performance and providing support through continued engagement and recognition.
